STAR test results for Sonoma County, Spring 2000 California established the Standardized Testing And Reporting (STAR) program in 1997 to assess student learning in the states public schools. The most recent STAR test was administered in Spring 1999 using the multiple-choice Stanford Achievement Test series (Stanford 9). All students in grades 2 through 11 were tested. Students in grades 2-8 were tested in reading, mathematics, language, and spelling. Grades 9-11 were tested in reading, mathematics, language, science, and history/social science. This chart of STAR Test Results for Sonoma County, Spring 2000 (PDF file) provides a district-by-district summary of Sonoma County test scores for the test administered in 1999. The scores indicate the percentage of students in the nation who scored the same or lower than the students tested in the district. The chart compiles test results for all students, including Limited English Proficient (LEP) students.
